|Serving With Us
Every believer who is a part of Fellowship has a role to play and a service to perform. The Bible tells us that each and every one of us has been spiritually gifted for the ministry God desires us to fulfill. There is no room for spectators in the local church. We are all members of the team, working together to advance the cause of Christ. If you are standing on the sidelines, then consider the following ways in which you can serve the Lord today:
OUR WORSHIP OF GOD AND OBEDIENCE TO HIS WORD
You can serve the Lord by devoting yourself completely to Him and His service. In addition to growing in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ, this involves faithfully attending the gatherings of your church in order to participate in corporate worship. True devotion also means giving our time, abilities and resources back to the Lord to be used in building up His church. Other opportunities include facilitating worship through our music ministries, and teaching God's Word to others through our Christian education programs. This kind of ministry requires a heart that loves the Lord and His Word.
- OUR LOVING & SACRIFICIAL RESPONSES TO THE NEEDS OF ONE ANOTHER
- You can serve the Lord by meeting the needs of your church family. This can involve sharing with others the material goods God has given you, encouraging each other to grow in our walk with the Lord, assisting church leaders so they can focus on spiritual ministry, providing mature leadership, facilitating the service of one another other, directing a ministry program of the church, opening your home to others in order to care for them in a personal way, comforting those who are experiencing life's trials, and helping those who are hurting. This kind of ministry requires a heart that is sensitive to the needs of others and yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
- OUR ZEAL TO SHARE GOD'S LOVE WITH A WORLD BROKEN BY SIN
- You can serve the Lord by helping us to proclaim the gospel message. This begins with you sharing your faith in Christ with those around you. It can also involve serving in an outreach ministry, such as AWANA, Vacation Bible School, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes and nursing home visits. Other opportunities include supporting our missionaries in prayer and encouraging them through our WRITE Missionaries program. This kind of ministry requires a heart that longs to see people of every nation worship God.
